Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is employed by ESPN as an SportsCenter News Anchor. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine years old, her ability to speak two languages has allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In this role, she had the opportunity to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next assignment was reporter for sports at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She was promoted to anchoring sports on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. Also, she was a sports anchor in Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. The family moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. There is also an older sister. The family settled in Miami following the move to Mexico into the US. In 1992, the couple divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who passed away in the year 2006 due to kidney cancer. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her sibling in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten the job. Antonietta is a senior in high school, yet she was clear about the career she was looking for. When she was deciding whether Mount Union is the right choice to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. When she finished high school, she decided to attend the University with a major in Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
